Intel released an important statement concerning some issues with specific CPU models when running in virtualized environments.
The stability of our environment is essential. More importantly, the security of our clients’ data is a top priority, and we take all possible measures to make sure everyone remains as secure as possible.
These issues on specific Intel CPU models manifest with unexpected page faults, and the security implications could include unpredictable system behavior, such as a virtual machine shutdown due to page faults.
This vulnerability can allow malicious users to disclose information at the kernel level, or enable user-level application privileges for otherwise unauthorized users.
Our clients can rest assured our systems are already up to date. System packages and kernel patches are updated every few hours a day to make sure everyone is as secure as possible.
